Cassie

Owner

Hi, I’m Cassie! I am the owner and founder of Paws at Home Pet Care. I’ve been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had dogs, horses, cats, rabbits, fish, and even geckos! I gained a lot of experience just growing up around these animals, and I think I always knew I wanted to work with animals when I got older. I loved caring for them and making sure they lived their best lives possible.

I started professionally pet sitting on the side in 2018, while teaching second grade. It was during this time that I fell in love with the idea of caring for animals full- time. I couldn’t imagine a more fulfilling job. I wanted to be someone that the community could lean on and trust to care for their animals while they were away. So in 2022, with the support of those around me, I made the difficult decision to leave the classroom and begin pet care full time. And it has been THE BEST decision!!

Since starting, I’ve worked with hundreds of pets- dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, goats, geckos, fish, you name it! I love learning about each new animal and what they like to do and what makes them happy. I take pride in giving professional level care for each and every animal I meet. I ensure that they are loved on, cared for, and safe while their families are away.

I look forward to meeting you and building relationships with you and your pet(s)!

My fur babies include a retriever mix and two dachshunds. All of them are over the age of 14! I also have 5 horses and love going to Appaloosa shows with them. We show in the summer all over the Midwest.

I am super excited to be on the Paws at Home Pet Care team and can’t wait to meet your fur babies!

Pet Care Professional

Hi, I’m Gabby! Animals have been my passion since I can remember. There was never a year in my life that I didn’t have an animal in my household whether that was a dog, cat, rabbit, or even a frog. I currently have two cats, a senior Beagle, and a tripod Labrador/Shepherd mix. If I had room for more, I definitely would!

During the week, I work as a Certified Veterinary Technician, and I have been pursuing this career for the past three years. I love being able to work with animals every day, and I’m excited to be able to work with the Paws at Home Pet Care team to provide loving, extraordinary care to your pets on the weekends.

Olivia

Pet Care Professional

Hi, I’m Olivia! I was born and raised in Washington, and am passionate about loving and caring for animals. I grew up in a cat-lover’s household with my two childhood cats, Lucy and Willow. Those sweet cats brought our family so much string chasing, belly rubbing, laser-point stalking joy. However, after marrying a dog-lover in 2017, we decided we wanted to raise a four-legged friend of our own and brought home Poppy, a mini Golden Doodle. She is endlessly entertained with games of hide-and-seek, walks on the bike trail, and summers spent swimming in our pool. Now, I’m both a cat and dog lover, and I can always appreciate the joy and hope animals bring into our daily lives.

This fall, I’m entering my 7th year of teaching English. I love being able to share and discuss incredible stories with my students. When I’m not teaching or hanging out with Poppy, you can find me searching for treasures at the thrift store, obsessively organizing my closets, or listening to a hilarious podcast. I’m so excited to meet and connect with your furry family members!

Hello, I’m sophie! I’ve lived in Metamora my whole life and I’ve always been so passionate and had a soft spot for animals. I’ve grown up around dogs, guinea pigs, a lizard, and more recently, cats. Right now I’m attending college at ICC studying early childhood education, and I plan to become a preschool teacher in my future!

This past year I helped adopt my very own dog, and two cats! My first dog unfortunately got parvo after a few months of having her, but luckily powered through! She’s my little fighter and is now as stubborn as ever. Being with my dog is one of my favorite things to do. She’s such a goofball! I love taking her on walks and taking silly pictures with her. I’m so excited to be a part of this team and to help other pet owners spoil their pets, too! 🙂

Hi, I’m Lily! I’m originally from Mount Prospect, IL, but am currently a sophomore at Illinois State University. I am majoring in criminal justice sciences with a minor in psychology. Being away at school, I miss my pets at home so much, so I am so happy to be part of the Paws at Home Pet Care Team!

I have had several different types of animals throughout my life and that has allowed me to further understand what each type of animal needs in terms of care. My family currently has two dogs and I have two cats, and I can’t wait to take them with me when I am out of school. Being a part of the Paws at Home Pet Care Team allows me to use this passion I have for animals and help other people care for their pets, and I am so excited!

Hi, I’m Shawna! I grew up in the Peoria area but currently reside in Washington. I studied criminal justice and spent many years of my life working within the customer service industry before I made the decision to pursue my dream and do what I absolutely love so very much, working with animal’s full time!

I have spent that time working with horses, dogs, goats, pigs and many other critters with a goal of one day becoming a Vet Tech.

I personally have my own flock of chickens, a horse, five dogs and one cat. What can I say, I adore all animals!  When I am not working or hanging out with my fur clan, I can be found at one of my sons sporting events, on a hike with my husband enjoying nature or at a museum with my daughter. I am so very excited to be a part of the Paws at Home Pet Care Team and given the opportunity to care for your pet(s).

Pet Care Professional

Hi! I’m Emma. I am from Pekin, and I am currently a sophomore at ISU studying public health.  In my household there was never a time where my mom wasn’t taking in animals. She has a huge heart for helping animals in need, and she fosters cats. This has instilled a lifelong love for caring for animals and led me to take in two cats of my own. The first, Milo, I found while on a walk, on the constitution trail, in BloNo. Someone had dumped him and his siblings at the trailhead. It was heartbreaking. So, I took them in and held them in my bathroom until the shelter my mom fosters for had room for them. Milo stood out from the rest of the kittens as he had made such a tight bond with me. I couldn’t let him go, so I adopted him, and now he lives the spoiled house cat life. My other cat Ollie was a part of one of the litters my mom has fostered. He was so friendly, and I just knew he had to be mine.

I have always had a passion for animals, I’ve always wanted to help care for and learn about them in any way. I was always trying to learn more about all different types of animals, I was especially interested in horses. This sparked my interest in riding, so I started to ride horses when I was about 8, and started working for the barn I rode at. Later, I gave it up for sports in high school, however, I still very much enjoy being around horses.  So, I am so excited to join the Paws At Home Care Team and have the opportunity to care for a wide variety of pets!
