Cassie

Owner

Hi, I’m Cassie! I’m the owner and founder of Paws at Home Pet Care.

I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, our home was filled with pets of all sizes, from fish and geckos, to dogs and cats, and horses too! Caring for animals was simply part of my everyday life, and I think I always knew I wanted them to be part of my future.

I began pet sitting while working as a second-grade teacher. What started as something I did on the side quickly became something I truly loved. I saw how much peace of mind it gave pet parents to have someone they trusted caring for their pets, and I realized I wanted to build a business our community could genuinely depend on.

In 2022, I made the big decision to leave the classroom and pursue pet care full time. And it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
Today, I’m incredibly proud of what Paws at Home has grown into. I take a lot of pride in the level of care we provide and in the team we’ve built. My goal has always been to give pet parents people they can trust completely, while making sure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their own home.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me spending time with my family and my own pets! We have two German shepherds, two corgis, and a barn full of horses.

Gabby

Hi, I’m Gabby! Animals have been my passion since I can remember. There was never a year in my life that I didn’t have an animal in my household whether that was a dog, cat, rabbit, or even a frog. I currently have two cats, a senior Beagle, and a tripod Labrador/Shepherd mix. If I had room for more, I definitely would!

During the week, I work as a Certified Veterinary Technician, and I have been pursuing this career for the past three years. I love being able to work with animals every day, and I’m excited to be able to work with the Paws at Home Pet Care team to provide loving, extraordinary care to your pets on the weekends.

Hello, I’m sophie! I’ve lived in Metamora my whole life and I’ve always been so passionate and had a soft spot for animals. I’ve grown up around dogs, guinea pigs, a lizard, and more recently, cats. Right now I’m attending college at ICC studying early childhood education, and I plan to become a preschool teacher in my future!

This past year I helped adopt my very own dog, and two cats! My first dog unfortunately got parvo after a few months of having her, but luckily powered through! She’s my little fighter and is now as stubborn as ever. Being with my dog is one of my favorite things to do. She’s such a goofball! I love taking her on walks and taking silly pictures with her. I’m so excited to be a part of this team and to help other pet owners spoil their pets, too! 🙂 

Shawna

Hi, I’m Shawna! I grew up in the Peoria area but currently reside in Washington. I studied criminal justice and spent many years of my life working within the customer service industry before I made the decision to pursue my dream and do what I absolutely love so very much, working with animal’s full time!

I have spent that time working with horses, dogs, goats, pigs and many other critters with a goal of one day becoming a Vet Tech. 

I personally have my own flock of chickens, a horse, five dogs and one cat. What can I say, I adore all animals!  When I am not working or hanging out with my fur clan, I can be found at one of my sons sporting events, on a hike with my husband enjoying nature or at a museum with my daughter. I am so very excited to be a part of the Paws at Home Pet Care Team and given the opportunity to care for your pet(s).

I have been a dog walking volunteer at PCAPs since 2021 and absolutely love seeing those animals get the loving homes they deserve.  I am so excited to help the Paws at Home team provide care and joy for the pet while the owners are away!

Hello! I’m Dawn. I grew up in Peoria, went to college in Normal, and then moved to the mountains of Colorado. There, I volunteered, became a staff member, and eventually became the Animal Care Supervisor of our local animal shelter. I also worked as a Veterinary Assistant during my twenty five years there. So, I have cared for and fallen in love with thousands of animals over the years.

I moved back to Peoria in 2020 and helped care for my grandparents. From there I became a Home Care Aide. Since then, I have purchased a home in West Peoria where I currently reside with my two Chihuahua mixes, two long haired black cats, and one orange tabby.

I am thrilled to be a member of the Paws At Home Pet Care team! I look forward to meeting you and caring for your beloved pets!

Hi, I’m Kelsie!

Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I truly love. I’m a pet mom to a cat and a dog, work full-time as a veterinary technician, and grew up surrounded by animals with all kinds of personalities and needs.

I have a genuine passion for making pets feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether your furry friend needs walks, playtime, medication, or simply some extra cuddles and companionship, I’m happy to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

Hi! I’m Olivia! I have grown up in Washington my entire life. I am currently a Senior at Bradley University studying Biomedical and Veterinary Science. I’ve been passionate about caring for pets and other animals for as long as I can remember, which is why it’s the only career path I could ever see myself in.

I currently have the goofiest Boxer boy I could ever imagine, and grew up around many different breeds as well as cats, and other small pets like reptiles! I have a big heart and genuinely love caring for (and snuggling with) animals.
I am so excited to get to care for your fur babies and couldn’t thank you enough for trusting me and the rest of us at Paws at Home Pet Care!

Hi, I’m Emily! I’ve lived in Washington for my whole life and I am now raising my daughter here. I have four pets of my own; two cats, a fish, and a bearded dragon! I am currently enrolled in college to pursue Diagnostic Medical Sonography and become an Ultrasound Tech in the Obstetrics field.

I have loved animals very deeply since I can remember. I have always had such a soft spot and a lot of empathy for all animals. I am the type to see a stray and become their best friend. Working with Paws at Home is so rewarding. I love meeting everyone’s fur babies and ensuring great care every time! I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

Hi! My name is Avery! I have 3 cats, a bunny, and chickens and turkeys at home. I love all types of animals and pets, and I am excited that I get to work with them!

I have loved animals since I was young. Growing up I would always visit animal shelters and help out when I could. I hope to keep working with animals in my future, pursuing a degree in animal medicine!
